Meredith Gossett, LCSW
Counselor
For Meredith, choosing to work at AGAPE was like coming home. As a Nashville native, she first began her relationship with AGAPE in childhood due to having several cousins who were adopted through AGAPE. Additionally, while completing her undergraduate degree at Lipscomb University, Meredith’s social work experience began as an intern at AGAPE. Following graduation, she received her Master of Social Work degree at The University of Alabama then began working in community mental health as a care manager and school-based therapist, at a residential facility working with teenage boys, and as a clinical therapist for patients ranging in age and background.
AGAPE’s emphasis on faith-based services aligns with her own core values and she strives to demonstrate Jesus’ healing power through her work with clients and their families. She is thrilled to collaborate with a team that shares her passion for helping individuals find lasting emotional well-being through AGAPE’s mission that believes Love Works. Using evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT skills, ACT, IFS, and more, she helps clients explore the impact their history has had on current patterns, develop tools for coping, communication, and conflict resolution, and strengthen relationships clients may have with themselves and others.
While not at work, Meredith can be found spending time with her husband and dog, traveling, or going to estate sales in the hopes of finding a good deal on vinyl records.
