Kimberly Carter

Board Member

Kimberly Carter has dedicated over 30 years to primary and secondary education, specializing in providing essential support to children with special needs in both private and public settings. This commitment to compassionate care is deeply personal, rooted in a lifetime of advocating for vulnerable individuals. While attending Harding University, Kimberly also gained experience in direct social service by working as a night manager at Haven House, a women’s shelter in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Kimberly was drawn to serve on the AGAPE board due to its mission of providing immediate, critical services to children in crisis. This passion was galvanized after witnessing a Hillsboro High School student, one of her own, removed from his home and temporarily without placement. Kimberly is committed to leveraging her educational and advocacy experience to support AGAPE's vital role in ensuring safe haven and crucial resources for the community’s most vulnerable youth.
