Amy joined AGAPE in October 2019 as the Director of Legal Services for Morning Star Sanctuary. Amy earned her bachelor’s degree in Government from the University of Texas and her J.D. from Tulane Law School. She is licensed to practice in Tennessee and Texas. Previously, Amy was Assistant District Attorney in Dallas County, Texas serving as an appellate attorney, a trial attorney covering misdemeanor family violence and as a child abuse prosecutor. When asked why she is passionate about working with AGAPE/Morning Star, Amy says that she enjoys working with victims and hopes to have a positive impact in their lives. She respects the controlled chaos of the courtroom and wants to make the experience less traumatizing for victims as they obtain an Order of Protection.
