. joined AGAPE in 1990. His master’s degree is from Middle Tennessee State University in Clinical Psychology and he is licensed as both a Senior Psychological Examiner and as a Professional Counselor/MHSP. His treatment interests include anxiety and mood disorders, working with adult clients from dysfunctional families, and pre-marital and marital therapy. Nathan sees clients at the Murfreesboro office only.

Aaron sees individuals and couples. He also specializes in male issues. Aaron provides counseling services at two AGAPE affiliate offices: the Maple Street Counseling Center in Smyrna, TN on Wednesdays and at the Faith Family Medical Clinic Counseling Office in downtown Nashville, TN on Fridays. Additionally, by special arrangement he sees AGAPE clients at a private office in Franklin, TN (contact the main AGAPE office for appointments in Franklin). Aaron has been affiliated with Agape since 2002.

, came to AGAPE in 2004 after being a behavioral therapist for children with autism. She earned her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University and is licensed as a Senior Psychological Examiner. She works primarily with children, adolescents and their families. Jennifer sees clients solely at the main office in Nashville.

originally came to AGAPE as an intern in 2009 and joined the AGAPE counseling staff in August, 2013. She received her master’s degree in Christian Counseling Psychology from Carolina University of Theology in 1996, and most recently her master’s degree in Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2009. Ms. Livers holds a temporary license as a professional counselor with the mental health service provider (MHSP) designation. By creating an atmosphere of compassion and respect, Rhonda provides a safe place for clients to explore their challenges and grow from their experience. Her treatment interests are phase of life transitions, peri-menopausal/menopausal season of life, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, self-care, lifestyle balance by integrating the spirit, mind, and body, spiritual development and exploration, trauma, couples counseling, and divorce. Rhonda is trained in EMDR level I. Office: Nashville – main.

Sloan earned her master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Lipscomb University in 2012 and is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Mental Health Service Provider (temp). Sloan enjoys working with children, adolescents, and young adults. Sloan sees clients at the Nashville – Woodmont Hills office and at the Clarksville, TN office.

joined AGAPE in the spring of 2009. She earned both a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Harding University. She holds a License as a Professional Counselor with Mental Health Service Provider designation. While she loves working with a broad range of clients, her primary focus is with children, adolescents, families, and young adults. Prior to working at AGAPE, Robin worked in the community with “at-risk” children and adolescents for 7 years. Lezlie Owsley, M.MFT, LMFT began working for AGAPE in 2001. She is a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist with her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University. Lezlie has been involved in professional counseling since 1996 working in outpatient, residential, and therapeutic foster care facilities. She focuses her work on couples, individuals, and families. began her work with AGAPE in January, 2012. She earned her master’s degree in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary and is a Licensed Professional Counselor with Mental Health Service Provider designation. Mel enjoys working with an array of clients including adolescents and adults and specializes in working with eating disorders and women’s issues. Mel sees clients only at the main Nashville office.

came to AGAPE from Christian Family Services, Inc., St. Louis, MO in October 2007. Mike earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Grace College in 1979 and his master’s degree in Religion with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Harding Graduate School in 1983. He is a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist. In addition Mike is a Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor with the American Association of Marital and Family Therapy (AAMFT). Mike works solely in the north Brentwood Counseling Center at the Otter Creek church and focuses his work on couples and families.

, joined AGAPE in November 2013 and is currently pursuing licensure as a Professional Counselor with a Mental Health Service Provider designation (LPC/MHSP). She holds an M.A. in Marriage and Family Counseling and is working toward her Ph.D. in Psychology and Counseling. Along with a Sign Language Interpreting degree, Angela is a Nationally Certified Interpreter and a Qualified Mental Health Interpreter. Ms. Scruggs has worked in both the Deaf and hearing communities in the United States and abroad for over 10 years. Prior to coming to AGAPE, Ms. Scruggs worked as a mental health counselor for the South Carolina State Department of Mental Health, Deaf Services Department and at the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind (SCSDB). She enjoys working with both Deaf and hearing clients (individuals, families, and couples) with a wide range of clinical problems and ages. Office: Nashville – main.

She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University and her master’s degree in Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University. She also earned her Ph.D in Clinical Counseling, Teaching and Supervision from Trevecca Nazarene University. Her treatment interests include anxiety and depression, women’s issues, premarital counseling, career counseling and grief and loss issues. She works primarily with adults and couples. She has been trained in EMDR Level I and II, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Joyce also serves on the board of the Nashville Area Association of Christian Counselors. became a member of the AGAPE staff in November of 2006. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Mental Health Service Provider. He received his Master of Arts in Religion and Marriage and Family Therapy from Harding Graduate School of Religion in 1985. He has provided mental health services to children, teens, adults, couples and families in a variety of settings including community mental health, foster care agencies, private practice and residential treatment. He is experienced in using story-telling, play, music and other forms of creative expression with children as well as adults and families. He is also experienced in dealing with abuse issues, and in dealing with sexually abusive and addictive behaviors. Offices: Nashville – main; Clarksville, TN.

Paula Wiemers, M.S., joined the AGAPE counseling staff in 2004. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Mental Health Service Provider, with her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Tennessee State University. Paula works in the main office of AGAPE Counseling in Nashville, TN, as well as in AGAPE’s affiliate office in Hendersonville, TN. Paula’s style of practice is goal-oriented and collaborative. She works with a broad range of clients, and has significant experience in treating adults who have experienced trauma in relationships. Her clients are usually individual adults (occasionally couples, families, and adolescents) who have symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief, marital or relational problems, abuse issues (past or present), PTSD, and adjustment or phase of life problems.
